Dental Aesthetics in Palma de Mallorca

We change your smile, we transform your life.

A radiant, perfectly aligned smile does not just improve your appearance, it also transforms your confidence and self-esteem. At Salud Dental HJC we design every dental aesthetics treatment in a fully personalised way, always respecting the health, the function and the natural harmony of your mouth.

What is dental aesthetics?

It is the set of personalised dental treatments designed to perfect the shape, colour, size and alignment of your teeth. Our goal is that every treatment blends in naturally with your facial features, while fully respecting the health and function of your mouth.

When is it recommended?

Unlike traditional dentistry, which focuses only on health and pain relief, dental aesthetics is recommended when the patient has a healthy mouth but is not comfortable with the way their smile looks.

When is dental aesthetics recommended?

Together we pinpoint the exact reason why your smile has lost its harmony, so we can offer you the most conservative and effective solution.

01

Changes in tooth colour

  • Yellowish or greyish teeth that do not improve with a routine dental cleaning.
  • Severe stains caused by tobacco, coffee, the passage of time or the use of certain medications (such as tetracyclines).
02

Defects in shape or size

  • Teeth that are too small, which expose a lot of gum when you smile.
  • Worn, chipped or fractured edges caused by knocks or by bruxism (clenching the teeth).
  • Teeth with irregular or asymmetrical shapes that break the harmony of the mouth.
03

Position and spacing problems

  • Gaps between the teeth that affect the front-zone appearance.
  • Mild crowding or slightly misaligned teeth that do not require complex orthodontics but that the patient wants to correct quickly with veneers.
04

Gum asymmetries (Gummy smile)

  • Gums that cover too much of the tooth, making the teeth look far too short.
  • An uneven gum line, where some teeth appear taller than others.
05

Renewal of old treatments

  • Metal fillings (dark amalgams) in visible areas that ruin the aesthetics.
  • Old crowns or veneers that have lost their shine or show a dark edge near the gum.

A radiant, perfectly aligned smile does not just improve your appearance, it also transforms your confidence and self-esteem

Our treatments

Teeth whitening in Palma de Mallorca: a safe and fast procedure that lightens the colour of your teeth by several shades. It comes in four main types, depending on where it is applied and on the technology used. The goal of all of them is the same: to remove stains from the enamel and lighten the colour of your teeth by several shades.

Dental veneers made of porcelain or composite

Dental Veneers

Thin porcelain or composite shells that are bonded to the tooth to instantly correct its shape and colour.

Aesthetic and invisible orthodontics

Aesthetic and Invisible Orthodontics

Straightening your teeth with clear brackets or with highly discreet clear aligners.

Aesthetic reconstructions with modern resins

Aesthetic Reconstructions

Use of modern resins that reproduce the exact colour of the enamel to repair imperfections.

Digital Smile Design (DSD)

Digital Smile Design (DSD)

Dental planning software that uses high-resolution photographs and videos of the patient. The system analyses the relationship between the teeth, gums, lips and smile with the rest of the facial features, allowing us to plan your aesthetic treatment to measure and guaranteeing predictable, natural and 100% personalised results based on your facial features.

Types of teeth whitening: which one is right for you?

Not every smile needs the same treatment. Depending on your habits, the shade of your teeth and your goals, there are different professional methods to bring the brightness back to your smile safely and effectively.

01

In-Clinic Whitening (Photoactivation or Laser)

It is the fastest and most powerful method, ideal for patients who are looking for immediate results in a single session of about one hour.

02

At-Home Whitening (Dentist Supervised)

It is a comfortable, gradual treatment that the patient carries out at home, with the safety and medical guarantee of the clinic. It usually lasts between 2 and 4 weeks.

03

Combined Whitening

It is the most complete and long-lasting option on the market, because it combines the benefits of the two methods above.

04

Internal Whitening (For Individual Teeth)

This treatment is not applied to the whole mouth but exclusively to a single tooth that has darkened on its own. It is only carried out on teeth that have had a root canal treatment or that have suffered a severe trauma.

Your smile is your best calling card. Leave it in our hands.

The goal of dental aesthetics at our clinic is not to create artificially white or one-size-fits-all smiles. We design your smile in a personalised way by analysing your facial features, the shape of your lips and your skin tone, achieving a result so natural that nobody will ever notice you had treatment.

Frequently asked questions about dental aesthetics

We answer the questions our patients ask us most often.

Do dental aesthetic treatments damage the teeth?

No. Today’s cosmetic dentistry treatments are minimally invasive. Thanks to Digital Smile Design, we plan every single step so that as much natural enamel as possible is preserved. Modern veneers and professional whitening gels are designed to respect and protect the structure of your teeth, so that your natural enamel stays intact for longer.

Does teeth whitening cause sensitivity?

It is normal to feel a slight, temporary sensitivity during the treatment or in the 24-48 hours that follow. However, at our clinic we use latest-generation gels that include desensitising agents. On top of that, we tailor the concentration of the product to each patient’s profile in order to minimise any discomfort.

How long do dental veneers last?

It depends on the material:

Composite veneers: They have a lifespan of between 5 and 7 years and require small, periodic maintenance at the clinic.

Porcelain veneers: They are highly resistant, do not change colour over time and can last between 10 and 15 years (or even longer) with proper oral hygiene.

What can I eat after teeth whitening?

Yes, you can eat straight after teeth whitening, but you must strictly follow a “white diet” during the first 48 hours. After the treatment, the enamel of your teeth is temporarily more porous and dehydrated. This means it will absorb any colouring or pigment very easily, which could easily ruin the result you have just achieved.

If I am missing a tooth, can I still have a smile design?

Yes, of course. Digital Smile Design integrates the placement of dental implants perfectly, so the missing teeth can be replaced.

I have veneers, fillings or crowns — will they whiten?

No. Whitening products only act on the enamel of natural teeth. They do not change the colour of resins, fillings, veneers or porcelain crowns.

How many shades can my teeth be lightened by?

There is no fixed number of shades that suits every patient. Whitening returns the tooth to its maximum natural whiteness, which is genetically determined. Generally, teeth can be lightened by between 4 and 8 shades on the dental shade guide. Yellowish stains respond much better than greyish ones.
